The fight against limescale deposits is relevant for all types of coffee machines. Even bottled drinking water leaves a residue after a certain period. As a rule, several times a year it is necessary to cope with the salts that have accumulated and hardened in the apparatus. Characteristics of "antiscale"
The advantages of ECODECALK include harmlessness to coffee machines, excellent rinsing ability. After applying the drug, limescale is removed completely. Regular use of descaling agent in DELONGHI coffee machines and other coffee makers helps to prolong their service life and avoid breakdowns. After cleansing with "decalcifier" it is much easier to brew delicious coffee.
A standard dose of DELONGHI ECODECALK is recommended for cleaning any device. For DELONGHI coffee machines as a gift, the manufacturer encloses a package of 100 ml. 500 ml of the product is enough for 4-5 times. The dosage can be increased to 125 ml.
The product contains organic acids, and it should not get on surfaces that it will damage. For example: on marble, enamel, silver. Of course, people need to protect their skin and eyes from accidental ingestion of chemically active substances. Unsafe drug should be kept out of reach for children.
Auto descaling
DELONGHI ECODECALK decalcifier is used for all models of coffee machines. It is recommended for machines with a descaling program. A reminder is a very convenient method to carry out all manipulations on time: the system, using the indicator itself, gives a signal about the need for cleaning. After such a message, the owner selects the line "Descaling" in the menu on the display.
The DELONGHI ECODECALK descaling agent is poured into a container with water. One serving of DELONGHI (100-125 ml) is mixed with a liter of water. The instructions for the coffee machine regulate these indicators as "levels A and B" in the water tank. A slight difference in the volume of water in which the drug is dissolved does not affect its effectiveness.
The running program will clean the machine. This procedure takes 30 minutes. The display shows a message about the operation being carried out: the solution flows in several steps and cleans the machine. It is only necessary to install a tap for water supply and a container for draining the solution that has passed through the machine (at least two liters).
The second stage is automatic rinsing with clean water. It is poured into a container. There should again be an empty container under the hot water unit.
It is believed that after cleaning and rinsing, the device can immediately start working. However, there are recommendations: once again rinse the tank with water and additionally turn on the rinsing mode of the machine.
Coffee machines can initially be set to the highest degree of water hardness. Some devices have the ability to adjust these standard settings. The coffee machines are adjusted for different water hardness - from the first to the fourth level. The hardness test is carried out using the indicator strip supplied with the coffee maker. After a short immersion in water, the hardness level will appear on the analyzer. With the help of the menu, new values are entered for further operation.
The specific characteristics of some coffee makers (as described in the instructions of their manufacturers) require pouring in the decalcifying solution and preparing several cups of coffee to clean the machine before starting the auto program.
Decalcification without auto-program
Coffee makers without an auto program are descaled as if they were preparing coffee. To tidy up the coffee maker without automatic cleaning mode, it is necessary to “brew” as many cups as is required to release the entire decalcifying solution poured into the water tank. When the composition is completely consumed, the container is washed.
Following the instructions of the manufacturers, 100-125 ml of purifier and a liter of hot water (not higher than 60 degrees) are poured into the water tank. After removing limescale, rinse the container and rinse the coffee maker with clean water: again, after preparing several cups. If there are removable devices, they can be rinsed under the tap.
Making coffee while cleaning is a compulsory measure. Important: you cannot drink it! Experienced people are advised to take the cheapest variety for this purpose. Also with water after rinsing: it must be drained.
