Lavazza L'Espresso Gran Aroma is long gone. So what are they selling today?

Spoiler: Colleagues, deceiving customers is not good. We really hope that you will read this text and correct yourself. An online store with a name such a shame is not allowed!

And now to history.

On Monday, a client called us with a very strange question: "Do you still have Lavazza Barista Perfetto coffee in the old design or in the new one?". We were very surprised by this question, since this is a new design and it changed in September 2020 (we even had a banner on the site about the rebranding. Here it is :)

And so we began to understand where this false information came from. Our client said that he bought Lavazza L'Espresso Gran Aroma coffee from one of the most famous online stores, and his manager assured that it was a new design by Barista Perfetto. Everything would be fine, but it was Barista that replaced Gran Aroma in 2019, and without complex mathematical calculations, one can understand that coffee produced in 2019 cannot be on sale when 2022 is already “out of the window”.

More interesting

The client sent us a photo of the pack and, most importantly, the deadlines on the pack! Yes, the pack turned out to be "broken" terms. Unfortunately, unscrupulous sellers practice this. On this pack it is impossible to visually distinguish, well done, they did it qualitatively! But they did not take into account one moment, most likely simply out of ignorance, this is a batch on a pack! The batch was marked AV29CY.

We hope that you did not know this, simply due to inexperience, and did not sell expired coffee on purpose!

The customer called again to this store, but they continued to claim this lie.

We know it's not true, but we need proof. And we have them!

Let's get back to the party

The batch on the client's pack was AV29CY, and that's the whole secret! The batch code encodes the year, date and month of production and the 2nd character in the batch means the year of production, just not everyone knows it, and the letter V is 2019, C is 2020, D is 2021. Below are many photos with examples. We know this, but we need facts, and OLX gave them to us. This board sells coffee with the same batch of AV29CY, only with a production date a year earlier! Here is a screenshot from the ad on OLX.

Why did we write this?

Buying or not buying coffee that has expired is always up to the buyer. But it is unacceptable to deceive him! "Adjusting" the terms on the product is shameful.

Colleagues, please do not dishonor yourself, do not deceive people, and do not sell goods with broken expiration dates. We all strive to be better and value our name.
